A straightforward approach is necessary in order to promote lasting change. My goal as your therapist is to create a comfortable environment for you to identify and express your thoughts and feelings. I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, and with my knowledge and experience I will help guide you to the solutions you need in a direct, genuine, and empathetic way.

I utilize a variety of approaches supplemented by training in EMDR, CBT, and DBT to assist you in developing your strengths and working through your challenges. I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor and provide license supervision to tLMHC’s, tLMFT’s, and LMSW’s in the state of Iowa.

I enjoy working with adults of all ages. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, the impacts of trauma, and other life transitions. I am a kink-aware, and sex-positive therapist who maintains an open-minded approach. I am supportive of traditional and non-traditional relationships.

Many people find reaching out to a therapist an anxiety provoking experience. I do my best to make you feel at ease and to streamline the process to be as low-key as possible.
